Julian Treasure is author of the book Sound Business and chairman of The Sound Agency, a UK-based consultancy that helps clients achieve better results by optimising the sound they make in every aspect of business - including making their marketing sound congruent with visuals, and creating effective and appropriate soundscapes for branded spaces such as shops, offices and corporate receptions.

About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a programme called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxNewSt, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxNewSt event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
